Doug Bennett, a graduate of Ringling School of Art and Design, has worked for the past 17 years as an artist for a publishing company in Kansas City, Missouri. He has continued his education by attending classes at the Kansas City Art Institute and Penn Valley Community College, as well as, receiving a year's instruction under wildlife artist Jerri Speer.

Doug began oil painting in 1992. Working as a volunteer at the Burr Oak Woods Nature Center, has given him a wealth of information about nature and animals...experiences which have enhanced his ability to portray wildlife in its natural setting.

Doug has received numerous awards, ranging from Best of Show to People's Choice Award. He is proud to have received back-to-back Honorable Mention awards at the Missouri Waterfowl Stamp Competition, and has placed in the top 10 of the Ohio Waterfowl Stamp competition. Currently, he is President of the Missouri Wildlife Artists Society.
