Kerry Hansen has been drawing for as long as she can remember. Her mother was artistic and set up easels for the kids to draw on. Her dad used to "scribble" and Kerry would find objects among the scribbles. Then her dad would take a turn at her "scribbles." Though Kerry has taken many college art courses, her painting style is self-taught, preferring to use her own methods rather than copying someone else's. |

Kerry has painted in many mediums but loves watercolor because of it's ability to let the light shine through the paint and bounce off the paper behind it, giving the painting a life of it's own. She favors painting animals, particularly wildlife, and captures the essence of their spirit on canvas. Kerry also excels at creating western art. Having lived in Wyoming for many years riding horses and working cattle, she has first hand knowledge of our western heritage. She captures the flavor, feel, and emotion of the west in her realistic and beautiful paintings. |
